Radiofrequency microneedling (Cellina skin rejuvenation)

The fractionated radiofrequency microneedling is an innovative method of skin rejuvenation and skin tightening. Very good results could be achieved especially for wrinkles and sagging skin on the face, neck and neckline. The treatment is also excellently suited to stretch marks and acne scars.

Similar to microneedling, in the Cellina therapy the dermis is punctuated with the smallest micro injuries that stimulate the endogenous repair mechanism and produce new collagen and elastin. In addition, high temperatures are reached through the highly intensive, focused radiofrequency flow at the needlepoints. This causes a contraction of the tissue fibres and therefore a tightening of the skin. The epidermis is not affected at all, however.

A big advantage of this treatment is the short period of inactivity, which depending on the treatment activity is only 1-2 days. The working principle of Cellina is comparable with the radiofrequency microneedling “Infini by Lutronic” or “SecretTM by Cutera®“.

Cellina treatment procedure

Before treatment

Before each treatment, a detailed consultation is held with Dr. Ledermann. The treatment zones and the desired treatment goal are set together with you. Before the actual treatment, an anaesthetic cream is applied.

Treatment

The skin is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected beforehand. Then the patented Cellina handpiece is used. Based on the principle of bipolar and monopolar radio frequency, the finest needles are inserted to the previously determined skin depth. A heat impulse is emitted at the needlepoint for milliseconds. Depending on the treatment goal and skin type, the penetration depth and the intensity can be adapted individually to the patient. Depending on the region, the treatment takes approx. 30-60 minutes (+60 minutes for the anaesthetic cream to take effect).

After treatment

After the treatment, we apply a calming serum to your skin and an aloe vera mask. We recommend a special serum by SkinCeuticals for the face and an aloe vera gel for the body for optimal care at home (e.g. after treating stretch marks).

For women and men who would like an optimal skin complexion. It is especially well-suited to treating sagging skin, fine lines and wrinkles, as well as acne scars or stretch marks on the body. The treatment is suitable for all skin types.

If treatment intensity is very high there is an immediate effect. For an optimal effect, we recommend approximately 3 sessions at intervals of 4 weeks.

Depending on the region, approx. 30-60 minutes + 60 minutes for the anaesthetic cream to take effect.

Depending on the intensity, there can be slight to medium pain, but it is easily tolerable due to the application of an anaesthetic cream.

It is a minimally invasive intervention. Immediately after the treatment there can be slight reddening and swelling that can last 1-2 days, depending on the treatment intensity. The skin is fully regenerated after a week.
