Mesotherapy against hair loss with the Vital Injector II (PRP, Mesohair)

With advancing age, the hair of many men (and women) thins increasingly. In most cases, it is hereditary hair loss (androgenetic alopecia). Around two thirds of men and almost every second woman are affected over the course of their life. For many of those affected, the hair loss is a cause of significant distress. With the Vital Injector II , we have an effective device at our disposal for halting hair loss and even stimulating hair growth.

Modern devices & technologies

Vital Injector II

The Vital Injector V2 is a multi needle injection system (mesotherapy-gun). With this system the exact dosage, penetration depth, vacuum pressure and speed can be adapted for the desired intervention. In our surgery the system is mainly used for antiaging treatments and mesotherapy for hair loss.

How the Vital Injector II works against hair loss

The Vital Injector II is an innovative device for mesotherapy against hair loss. Contrary to conventional mesotherapy, the Vital Injector II works with a patented vacuum technology with a 5/9 needle head. The advantage: shorter treatment time and more even injection with significantly reduced pain.

Vital Injector II

With the Vital Injector II, it is possible to treat diffuse, hormone-induced and circular hair loss very successfully. Special growth-stimulating active substance compounds and/or endogenous PRP are injected into the scalp. Mesotherapy with the Vital Injector II has a dual positive effect: apart from the therapeutic effect of the active substances or the PRP, the mechanical micro injuries actively promote cell stimulation and blood circulation, which has a positive effect on hair growth.

Usages:

  • Circular hair loss (Alopecia areata)
  • Diffuse hair loss (thinning hair)
  • Hereditary hair loss (Alopecia androgenica)

The advantages of the Vital Injectors II

  • Very good results against hair loss
  • Significantly less painful than traditional mesotherapy
  • No periods of inactivity afterwards
  • Also suitable for skin rejuvenation

What is PRP?

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is a yellowy-transparent fluid without red blood cells that is gained from autologous blood. The growth factors contained in the platelets are especially effective in the treatment of hair loss:

  • Cell regeneration is stimulated
  • Growth factors are stimulated
  • The regeneration of damaged hair root cells is stimulated
  • New hair root cells are stimulated

Treatment procedure with Vital Injector II (MesoGun)

Before the treatment

Before each treatment, a detailed consultation is held with Dr. Ledermann, agreeing on the treatment zones and the aim of the treatment. If required, the scalp can be pretreated with a light anesthetizing spray.

Important: 4 days before the PRP treatment, one should not take any painkillers such as aspirin, Voltaren, ibuprofen etc. as the platelets are inhibited by them.

Treatment

Before treatment, around 15ml of blood is taken from the patient’s vein. The plasma and the platelets are separated from the other components in a special procedure. In the next step, the PRP plasma is applied evenly with the Vital Injector II Mesogun in 5 or 9 pricks over an area of around 1 square centimetre. Depending on the aim of the treatment and customer requirements, the PRP can be enriched in addition with growth-stimulating substances (Mesohair). These substances stimulate and regenerate the hair follicles further, increasing blood circulation and promoting the supply of vital substances.

Depending on the size of the area, the actual treatment with the Vital Injector II takes around 45-60 minutes. The hair loss treatment usually involves around 4-6 sessions at intervals of 3-4 weeks.

Follow-up treatment

No special follow-up treatment is required. The hair can be washed as usual the day after.
